It’s not too
often you find a school Principal that
spends his weekends driving at an
excessive rate of speed dangerously
close to cars all around him, but that
is exactly what Hamburg Area School
District Principal, Shawn Fitzpatrick
does… Fitzpatrick will enter his
twelfth year of dirt track competition
in 2009 and is proud to represent the
businesses that you see on his race car…
Shawn resides
with his wife Kirstin, two sons Shawn Jr.,
Kevin, and daughter Taylor in Pottsville,
PA. He is a Principal in the Hamburg Area
School District and works part-time as a
sportscaster for The Pottsville Broadcasting
Company. He has been featured in numerous
newspapers, magazines, radio, and internet
interviews.
Shawn enjoys
working in education and often uses his
experiences behind the wheel to inspire
students, who may otherwise view him as just
another Principal looking to hand out
detentions. Instead, he strives to motivate
each and every student by focusing on
character traits that focus on hard work,
respect, and trustworthiness. Many students
and their families have become fans in the
summer and show up to cheer on their “racing
principal.”

Race Team is family-owned and operated.
Shawn has twelve career feature wins. He
races mainly at Big Diamond Raceway in
Minersville because it is local and
affordable. He enjoys meeting people in and
around the sport, but especially enjoys
being a role model to the kids who follow
the sport locally. Shawn plans to compete
in two divisions at multiple tracks in
2009... |

Shawn has raced a grand prix go-cart, street stock, pro-truck, sportsman modified, and modified race cars. He's won races in the grand prix cart, pro-truck, and Sportsman division. It's time to get that first win in the modified division!! |
