Shawn resides with his wife, Kirstin and two
sons, Shawn Jr. and Kevin, in Pottsville,
PA. He is a Principal in the Hamburg Area
School District and works as a sports caste r
for The Pottsville Broadcasting Company. His
experience in radio has carried him to some
interesting venues, from college football’s
Citrus Bowl to Nascar’s first night race at
Daytona Speedway. Still, Shawn enjoys
working in education and ultimately decided
to remain local and keep radio as a
past-time, rather than a career. Shawn took
in interest in racing after moving home from
State College in 1997 and watching his
brother Tim race street stocks. Since then
he has raced a grand prix go-cart, street
stock, pro-truck, sportsman modified, and
modified. Shawn owns and operates his own
team and has twelve career feature wins. He
races mainly at Big Diamond Raceway in
Minersville because it is local and
affordable. Racing is a hobby to Shawn. He
enjoys meeting people in and around the
sport, but especially enjoys being a role
model to the kids who follow the sport
locally. |
